‘Nightfall,

Remember, with the passage

of time, the last best place.

Wherefore strangers garden

howl with the evening grace.

As I release my heart into

the misty sky, I lost your face.

Here I am, one with the moon,

while the stars guide me through space.

At morn, to dream of the day –

I mourn for my birthplace.

To wander of no hymn

by seekers I sought for my horizon.

These darkened chambers

whittle with me

as they rise for the wizen.

To blossom,

to fall,

to be one of them all.

Whose footsteps follow my path

as I near the edge of my hidden wall –

For this shall unfold

the beauty that has been my nightfall
