‘The untold truth,

Be my mistake,

as I would rather be alone.

From a story I had to believe

I took my heart for you to own.

What am I to you?

Whom could I be if not shown?

I Have my heart rising,

my soul denying, to a world from the unknown.

Be my love,

As I collapse below the crystal skies.

To only whisper beyond recognition

I have to believe your eyes.

To the angels and demons,

they hear my sadness in my lies.

A Light approaches my sight

for I pray my wishes for the wise.

“Be my endless hope,

because I am not ready to elope.”

Promise me now, in the end of time

my hands will not touch your rope.  

These words keep me safe now

to write down in my envelope.

  7. The first line made me nostalgic as it reminded me of the song “Be My Mistake” by The 1975 . One of my absolute favourites. Also, absolutely love this poem.     That envelope is quite lucky to shelter those beautiful words. Loved it….so much….
