‘Illusory,

Freedom, the lost in our speech,

as the end nears to our ability to speak.

These fleeting moments aspire the truth

from the strangers that we seek.

We shall keep our head above water

as we swim through the blood in their creek.

Arise with the innocents and flee for the stars

whilst the dead has spoken endless for the weak.

Hope, the spark in our wish,

redeems the eyes from the horror and fright.

The truth, which refuse to die from within,

redefines the one that tries to stand for their right.

Silently there, with heavenly sights,

the reflections of falling roses arises with their light.

With evenstar, yet melancholic, may it be

an story that shall be written during fortnight.

With evenstar, yet melancholic, may it be

an story that shall be written during fortnight.”

    • Hi Cindy, sorry for the late reply. In all the hectic I really thought that I had sent a reply, but I’m glad you liked it. The events that have been occurring lately have been my inspiration for this poem. As you know I always try to write from deep within, and these days a lot of things happen and sometimes people just forget to truly appreciate what they have. The peace, the quiet and daily Basics. For many it’s still not “normal” to have our lifestyle’s!!

      • No worries Jojo.. it happens to all of us! Life does inspire us in so many ways and we get a daily opportunity for reflection. Your writing is deep and connects to a larger picture and the trials and tribulations of living. We live in challenging times that make no sense on so many levels. Blessings! ❤️💕❤️

      • It does indeed, Cindy. It’s beautiful to see how we keep evolving as Human beings and that we still have much to learn. The only way that we can learn from one another is to reflect and start with ourselves. I’m glad you like my writing, I hope I can inspire people more and more with my writings. One thing is for sure, I love to write and let my inspiration and feelings guide my hand to do the thing that I love. “To write and to inspire.”

People like you is why we are growing and evolving, Cindy! Thank you for being an amazing human being and blessings to you too ❤️❤️❤️

  2. This poem sums up so well the state of our world, my friend.

Free speech is being lost, the blood of innocents flows and in such times we must cling to hope and truth as all around us a fierce battle rages.

    • Ah yes indeed, friend. It’s hard to find free speech and especially freedom. Many people have to die for their rights, especially because no one has decided to have a life at all on earth, and yet you have to fight so you can breathe, eat and sleep. We always forget how people still have to fight for the basics, even in 2024. But I do know this, Dracul, one day, even though we both are already dead by then, the world will Change. Peace shall come, freedom shall be lived and all will harmonize love as one!
