‘Impetuous,

Here I hold my pain

as I hear silence untold.

One last goodbye took me

where memories never die old.

As I kneel behind the frightening

words I sought as I was blindfold.

Where rain from the cloudless sky

brightens the moonchild in me.

Dear heart, to you I plea;

“To kneel for thee.”

Therefore, the grey sought

for a memory with no past in me.

What has to be my soft despair

there has to be no love to see.

With only one finger

I have my soul in emerald eyes.

For I look upon the skies

I hear to the old wise

as you have spoken with endless lies.

Here I hold my pain

as raindrops fall with no disguise.

  1. Stunning, powerful, painful, and heartbreaking. Love it. I bury my pain because I’m chained in a loveless marriage. The day will come when the gates are left open. …’til then, I wait.
