Let’s retrace our path

as we feel the unenviable begin.

To not know what our footprints will bring,

we sought for love from within.

Take my hand and reach out your soul

to as I feel you linger with sin.

From broken promises

we behave like there is no tomorrow.

For I feel my heart broken,

in lost puzzle pieces,

I am one with sorrow.

Where do I stand if I am one with the shadow?

See me wander in despair

as I breathe in silence my last hope.

To be that guy with a rope,

until I met you,

I had to elope.

  2. As always, beautiful… Perfectly written jj. Each line is just lovely, flows well, sweet rhythm and lulling. I feel some sadness but also hope. Great piece, thanks for sharing 🙂🌹
