‘Viola,

I Have not spoken the truth, yet,

but today, I will speak with my heart.

If A Thousand nights have shown me their grace

as I wonder with my lost eye in their art.

Have I not seen them lost in their maze,

thus, why shall I fall apart?

The unknown that wanders through my vein

frightens me as I depart.

 

“I Am not alone” as I tell myself every day.

“I Am not afraid” as I kneel when I pray.

“I Am not in pain” as I speak in cliché.

So how come do I see this strange doorway?

 

The end of my title is the truth in my story,

But as I kept saying my goodbye

I couldn’t read that written envelope.

The unknown, the truth, the fear,

The pain, but yet, I see this life through my telescope. 

 

To be in love with your light,

To be together in delight,

To be dancing in eyesight,

To be dreaming of that rewrite.

 

Now I dine with hope

As I lean into my fears.

Slow, but steady,

do I reach with my open arms

and embrace the world in tears.

  2. Besutiful and touching poem. If the poem is based from the heart and reality, wich I feel it is, I hope this story ends well. Great photograph too.
