To tell; You did with no mask.

Face to eye,

body to linger,

We grasp like there is no tomorrow.

For there shall be a next sorrow.

you said; “I’m sorry, but I have to.”

We were in a flow,

but you had to grow,

beyond your dreams you stayed,

but in pain we weren’t made.

You had to grow,

we weren’t in a flow,

…..

…..

….. anymore. You said your goodbye,

“You had me at hello.”

while we both disappeared into the blue sky.

Desire of the best,

you remained you

  1. Ouf. Beautifully expressed… on various levels… then painful at the end. When we see that person just continuing on, being themselves, and we are ‘that guy’/gal who is left feeling bereft, staring at that person continuing on, being themselves.

    But… I don’t know Jojo. I think that person is changed… and with any luck, they’ve changed just enough that they can keep putting themselves in contact with people who will also challenge them to further develop. And with any luck and love, we are also strengthened from the encounter, painful though it was. Your poems are hitting the heart hard! Just like when I first started reading you. 💘💘 Thanks for being a shining light. :)) 💛★💫

      Funny thing is that this feeling I had it about 10 months ago, but i still could clearly picture it last week when I wrote it!! Feelings are hard to lose, right!? 😅
