As she walked
in layers of delight.
Hidden with a smile
covered with a soft bite.
Home is her hope
as she left none of the wise.
Mother, wherefore
do I take your wandering eyes?
Deep in the forest
I found your lingering skies.
For you have wallowed
with the enemies lies.
As luminous you are
there would be no sunrise.
Her smile could embrace
a world, despise, she
wallows with compromise.
Home is her hope
as she left none
while she dies.

I am quite well. Busy with the official moving process but good. Hope you are well too? My book is going great, I am being guided through an editing process and am almost done with the second book so I can be prepared to put that one through the editing process instantly after. Very excited 🙂

If home is where our hope lies, we’ll remain “caged”.

Indeed, Neelam! That’s why we should make “earth” our home and learn from mother nature, experience and Life. 🙏🏽 Well said, Neelam! Love your comments, always!!

You’re welcome Mr Jojo. I’ve begun to love your poems because there’s so much of tenderness and warmth in them ! Perhaps these poems reflect the psyche of the author 😉

There’s so many starting and stopping points for each different line within this poem. And each one unravels a slightly different meaning than the others. Hope, despair, longing, and fear, all present, but not overbearing.
