‘Dawn,

As I could do what you do

while we are pre-occupied in our own make-believe world.

Though we shall run

to defeat whatever could be hurled.

My nemesis, known as oneself,

I shall not be frightened as I do it for you.

Never have I lost, to sooth, nor won

an battle fought one many too few.

I Will hurl that handgun

as hope is my number one.

Have I not spoken of the truth?

A Shallow of shadows hidden as we begun.

Until I lose my breath

I shall take a leap of faith beyond my morning sun.

  2. We are all pre-occupied in our own worlds – make-believe or not, aren’t we? Great poem. Thanks for stopping by my blog, Always Write. I hope you have fun and play along with Writer’s Quotes Wednesdays Writer’s Challenge and come up with another great post in response to a quote. It could even be one from this poem. 🙂 Marsha 🙂
