‘Deviate,

When time holds up a mirror to my face.

I seek my own enemy;

“As I get not to see I feel this honesty of disgrace.”

When the feel of deception beholds me,

I foul my heart;

“as there was no mere play at place.”

It’s oddly satisfying to know what is not.

To walk this path down by my chase.

I run towards myself at ease,

as I want to follow my stream to earth.

This has not been me to replace.

As I start from the beginning,

To rise one step;

“I seek my inner grace.”

      • HAhah yeah. I have not had the time to read fellow works as regular as I would like to. I have been quite busy these days. No no you are not bold. I quite understand you. My name is Raghavasree but you can call me by my middle name Veera. Hope you are well?

  1. Please correct me if somewhere I interpreted wrong:
    “As I get not to see I feel this honesty of disgrace.”
    You were seeking your enemy (that’s you only) and found “disgrace” to be honest, so inner grace wasn’t present initially. Then a fresh start, walked down the Lane (we all accompanied you) and got enlightened (my inner grace, hmm depend on the reader)

    “as there was no mere play at place.” – Didn’t get! Please help.

    “It’s oddly satisfying to know what is not.” 💛 💛 It Feels so TRUE.

    • Hi Nebula,

      When time holds up a mirror to my face. I seek my own enemy;
      “As I get not to see I feel this honesty of disgrace.”
      ( You see, I’m looking at myself at the moment, and I’m looking for the enemy in me (the bad guy) but I cant see it, so I feel disgrace. Because I always thought I was the “enemy”)

      Now the next line;
      When the feel of deception beholds me, I foul my heart;
      “as there was no mere play at place.”
      ( The deception I had was not true, It was a lie. “The no mere play at place” is a stage, a play. an act that has been played”)
      “No mere” is latin for nothing more than something specified. So, “No mere play” nothing more than a play at place.

      So by “It’s oddly satisfying to know what is not” I can start over and seek the inner grace in me. because there is no disgrace!

      hope it helps you 🙂
